Obituary of Benito Gomez-Munoz

Benito Gomez-Munoz, age 93 of Camden, passed away on December 30, 2023 at his daughter's home in Sicklerville.  He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on March 1, 1930 to the late Carmelo Gomez and Cruz Munoz.

He is the beloved husband of the late Sara Maria Vazquez; devoted father of Sara N. Gomez (Eligio Concepcion), Angel B. Gomez (Sonia Medina), adopted father of Madeline Millan and loving grandfather of Angel G. Vazquez and Sara N. Hanna-Vazquez (Dovania Hanna-Vazquez).

As a young man, Benito played semi-pro baseball in Arecibo.  He loved to volunteer his time, whether at senior day care centers in Camden or as a foster grandparent at Mi Casita Day Care in Camden.  He always was ready with a joke and loved to make people laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, where a Funeral Service will be held at 8 PM.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
