Obituary of Robert E. Benson

Robert E. Benson, age 84 of Voorhees, formerly of Merchantville, passed away on August 17, 2021 at Fox Trail Assisted Living in Deptford.

Predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Mary (nee Barney) and his parents Samuel and Mary Benson; Robert is survived by two sisters Margaret Johnson and Verna Benson and predeceased by siblings Harry, Samuel Jr., Roland, Karl, John, Donald and Wallace Benson, Mary Black, Phyllis Melborne, Ruth Smith and Judith Vann. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Benson worked as an auto body technician for many years at Mike's Auto Body in Cherry Hill. He enjoyed cars, bowling, playing pool, dancing and swimming. He also enjoyed travelling on senior bus trips with his wife and working in the yard. Robert also had a love for photography, and could always be seen taking pictures.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:30 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Pennsauken.
