Obituary of Maria D. Bernardo

Maria D. Bernardo (née Colacci) age 86 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2021. Beloved wife of David. Loving aunt/godmother of Maria Francesconi (Tom), Anthony Tatta (Tammy) as well as many other loving nieces and nephews and cousins. Dear sister of the late Gloria Tatta. Also survived by brother in law Antonio Tatta. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Filomena (née Gallo) Colacci. Always the life of the party Aunt Maria loved spending time with family and friends, teaching everyone a dance step or yoga pose. You could always count on Aunt Maria to provide the most delicious sweets for the holidays, birthdays or any excuse for an occasion. She was our go to seamstress if you needed a hem or alteration. Her legacy lives on in handwritten recipes crafted and perfected by the master chef herself and will be cherished by her loved ones forever. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 11:15 AM at the Church of Mary, Queen of All Saints, 4824 Camden Avenue in Pennsauken, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 3906 Church Road Mt Laurel NJ 08054 or the charity of the donors choice.
