Obituary of Robert J. Sabatino

Robert James Sabatino, age 75 years of Cherry Hill, passed away of complications due to Covid-19 virus at Jefferson Kennedy Hospital, Cherry Hill, NJ on December 28, 2020. Born April 14, 1945 in Philadelphia, he spent his youth in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He attended Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, Pa and was a seminarian at St. Charles Borremeo Seminary on the Main Line for 5 years. Robert then left the Seminary and enlisted in the Navy, spending 3 1/2 years where he served in two tours of duty in Vietnam. After the Navy, Robert became an Interior Designer and enjoyed his occupation just a few years prior to his passing Robert was quite the athlete into his 50’s, running marathons and was a serious weightlifter for many years. Robert was a devout student of Theology, Greek History and Mythology. His mastery of numerous languages including Italian, Spanish, Latin, and Greek, spoke to the scholar that he was and made it easy for him to travel comfortably to many countries in the world. Loving son of the late Joseph and Catherine Sabatino. Beloved brother of Joseph and his wife Carol, John, and the late Felix Sabatino. Dear uncle of 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 3 great nieces and 3 great nephews, who he loved to visit in FL and shower with love and affection. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, PA.
